Glassfiber pigtailing CCM developed a system for connecting the ends of up to 8 glassfibers to an optical chip, with optimal preservation of the fiber transmission. For this, the fiber ends are aligned with micromanipulators, making use of the direct feed back of the light transmission between the fibers. Keywords: micromanipulation, miniaturisation.
